Who I am

“You entirely forget that you aren't in the same room."

— Rebecca Blackstone, Senior Manager, NHS, regarding online sessions

Originally from London, I've lived in 6 countries and speak 5 languages. But the most intense cultural adaptation I have experienced was not crossing borders: it was learning to inhabit a village of under 300 people where the norms, rhythms and ways of relating to one another were radically different from anything I had known before. I am familiar with the subtle shifts in identity, belonging, and self-expression that come with cultural transition.

After a PhD and over a decade in research, I left academia. I understand the particular "stuckness" that comes with leaving a prestigious path: the guilt, the identity crisis, the fear of throwing away everything you've worked for. I know what it takes to slowly rebuild on the other side.

“In our virtual meeting space, her presence was warm, grounded and immediately reassuring. I felt a a great rapport and was able to open up.”
