• One-to-one and group coaching, training and workshops for academics and reflective professionals navigating career transition, cultural adaptation, or that harder-to-name feeling that something needs to shift. All sessions are online via Google Meet, so wherever you are in the world, we can work together.

  • Leaving academia or a prestigious career path. This is rarely just a career decision. It's an identity crisis. The guilt, the sense of wasted investment, the fear of what people will think — I know how it feels. Whether you're still weighing up your options, in the thick of it, or rebuilding on the other side, I can help you find clarity and plan your next steps.

Cultural adaptation. Having lived in six countries and made the huge transition from city-life to tiny rural community, I understand cultural adaptation as more than logistics. It's the subtle erosion of self that comes with not quite belonging — the identity shifts, the loneliness of being between worlds. Whether you're relocating, returning home after years abroad, or navigating cultural differences in your workplace, this is something I understand from the inside.

Finding clarity when you can't quite name the problem. Sometimes you don't know what's wrong — you just know something isn't right. You feel stuck, unfulfilled, or pulled in too many directions at once. I help you untangle the complexity, question your assumptions and reconnect with what actually matters to you.

Redefining what success means to you. For driven, high-achieving people, this can be the hardest work of all. I help you examine the external markers you've been chasing and work out what a genuinely fulfilling life looks like on your own terms.

  • We start with a free 30-minute conversation — no agenda, no pressure — to explore what you're facing and whether working together feels right. If we decide to go ahead, sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes, fortnightly or monthly, giving you time to reflect and try things out between conversations.

Coaching is forward-focused. We work on where you want to go and what's keeping you stuck, rather than dwelling primarily on the past or addressing mental health conditions. If deeper psychological work turns out to be what's needed, I'll say so honestly and help you find the right support.

  • Not at all. Most people arrive with a vague sense that something isn't right rather than a neatly defined problem. Finding that clarity is often part of the work itself. A vague sense of stuckness is more than enough to start.

  • Yes. My background is in academia and I have a particular understanding of that world, but what I'm really looking for in a coachee is someone who thinks deeply, questions themselves, and wants more than surface-level answers. If that sounds like you, we'll get on well.

  • Yes. I'm based in Spain and work with clients globally. I'm flexible about scheduling and can usually find something that works, wherever you are.

  • That's precisely what the free exploratory consultation is for. We'll have an honest conversation about what you're dealing with, and you'll get a genuine sense of how I work. If it doesn't feel like the right fit — for either of us — I'll say so. No awkwardness, no obligation.

  • I hold a PhD in philosophy from the University of Manchester, UK, where I specialised in moral intuition and emotion. I spent over a decade researching implicit bias and emotions in philosophy and bioethics in different countries.
I trained as a coach with Barefoot Coaching Ltd (University of Chester), which is a gold-standard programme accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

  • Everything discussed in our sessions is confidential. I work in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the ICF and take my responsibilities as a coach seriously — which means being honest with you about what coaching can and can't do, maintaining clear boundaries, and never working beyond my competence. If something falls outside the scope of coaching, I'll tell you.
